This tour mostly focuses on the Pacific side of Costa Rica including the area of Carara with habitat in transition from lowland rainforest to dry forest,
rainforest and open areas of Esquinas Rainforest Lodge and Piedras Blancas National Park, middle elevation forest in the Southern-most portion of the country around San Vito,
and the Cloud Forest of Talamanca, not leaving out the famous La Selva Biological Station on the Caribbean lowlands.
1 night: San Jose at Hotel Bougainvillea
3 nights: Cerro Lodge (Carara National Park and Tarcoles River)
2 nights: Esquinas Rainforest Lodge (Piedras Blancas National Park)
2 nights: Las Cruces Biological Station in San Vito – Wilson Botanical Garden (middle elevations in the Southern Pacifc – close to border with Panamá
2 nights: Savegre Lodge (Talamancan Cloud Forest)
3 nights: La Selva Biological Station (Caribbean Lowlands)
1 night: Hotel Bougainvillea
